In the song, “Latinoamerica” by Calle 13, the singers send a political and social message to their listeners about the meaning of Latin America, and what makes a person be considered Latin American. The lyrics to the songs and its beats add to the political and social message the song is trying to send. As a result, it has the effect of grabbing people’s attention.  the song describes what makes Latin America and what type of people it consists of. .The song also describes a continent full of struggles, but that still has hopes.  As a matter of fact, this song mentions the colonization of America. For example, the music video of the song shows a diverse faces and people. These faces represent a mix of indigenous, European, and African people.

• America Ferrera is a Honduran-American actress, best known for the lead role in the comedy series “Ugly Betty,” which earned her multiple awards, including an Emmy Golden Globe and SAG Award; she also starred in the original movie “Real Woman Have Curves.”

• Emilio Estefan, a Cuban American of Lebanese ancestry, is a musician and producer. His first taste of celebrity came as a member of the Miami Sound Machine, but he is also recognized as a producer.

tengo un mejor amigo que se llama Hollie Wilson. que usamos para mucho rato en el verano. A veces vamos al gimnasio para hacer ejercicio y nadar. los sábados voy a su casa para una fiesta de pijamas nos gustaría ver la televisión y comer alimentos a continuación, se preparan para el día siguiente. los domingos es cuando nos vestimos y salimos a comer y hablar acerca de la escuela porque los dos van a diferentes escuela . salir con mis amigos es importante para mí porque es bueno tener amigos con quien hablar y lugar de reunión con y divertirse

Today I did 2 duolingos

• Time and Adjectives

In the date and time category it was a section that said "weakest words"

they were horas, madrugada , ayer, calendario, noches, veces, hasta, desde, and invierno. To the strengthen my words I had to listen to the audio and type in the word that I hear  in Spanish and translate it in English an example would be en un rato comemos ( in a while we will eat ) or they will give me a phrase in English  and I would have to choose the meaning in Spanish example sometimes I go sometimes I do not ( a veces voy a veces no)

In the chorus it quoted "Él es el poderoso Dios de Israel El Dios Poderoso de Israel" that mean He is the mighty God of Israel

Today I did a couple of duolingos

in the size section I learned to put phrases from Spanish to English 

• examples: mi tamano es grande ( my size is big

household section I now know that su silla  means in English "her chair"

 The other thing I did was listening to Spanish music from he movie Fast and Furious 5 called "danza kuduro" - don omar ft. lucenzo   

Danza Kuduro” means “Kuduro Dance” in English. Kuduro is a type of music that originated in Angola and is also very popular in Portugal. 

Another son I listened to was called" Que Bonita Es La Vida"

there was one part of the song I understood when it said
